This task involved the removal of 2 x 9m wooden flagpoles from the roof of the building and the installation of 2 x 9m new fibreglass flagpoles. Specialist access equipment was needed and our operatives carried out the task from the basket of a 50m Platform. To enable the safe operation of the new poles, we carried out extensive modifications to the roof, including the welding of hinge bases to the existing steel support beams. We supplied bespoke support arms and fittings in stainless steel to reduce maintenance costs in the future. Finally, new lead works were undertaken around each flagpole base to seal and create an aesthetically pleasing finish to the roof.
